Sprengeri is the trailing asparagus fern — arching stems with fine, needle-like foliage that cascades rather than standing upright. That habit is what distinguishes it from plumosus: where plumosus lies flat, sprengeri falls.

Designers use it wherever an arrangement needs to spill over an edge: the base of tall centrepieces, the front of hand-tied bouquets, hanging installations and mantel work. It softens the hard line of a vessel rim better than almost anything else at the price.

The foliage is bright fresh green and light in weight, so it adds movement without bulk. Strip growth below the waterline and it will hold well over a week.
