How our tinting is done
Colour is applied by absorption. Cut roses are stood in dye solution and draw it up through the stem into the petal tissue, so the colour sits inside the flower rather than on its surface. That is the difference between an absorption-tinted rose and a sprayed or airbrushed one: ours will not flake, rub off on hands or fabric, or lose colour as the bloom opens. Because the tint follows the vein structure, each head varies slightly, which is what stops a box of tinted roses looking uniform and artificial.
Every tinted rose starts as a premium Ecuadorian rose, so the large head, 40 to 70 cm stem and 16 to 18 day vase life stay intact underneath the colour.
What we carry
Rainbow and multi-tone roses, single-colour tints in blues, purples, teals and blacks that do not occur naturally, pastel ranges for spring and baby showers, patriotic red-white-and-blue, Halloween blacks and oranges, autumn ambers and cinnamons, and a full Christmas range in silver, gold and frosted white. Glittered and confetti finishes are applied over the tint for retail and event work that needs to catch light.
Ordering
Minimum order is one box. Seasonal ranges — particularly Christmas silvers and golds — are produced in limited runs and sell out early, so pre-book where you can. Order two to three days ahead of an event.
