Bird of paradise is the most structural flower we ship — an angular orange and blue crest emerging from a hard green bract, on a thick, upright stem. It looks like nothing else, and a single stem changes the character of an arrangement entirely.

Its use is tropical and modern design: hotel and restaurant installations, corporate lobbies, destination weddings, and any setting where a bold architectural line is wanted rather than softness. Because the form is so strong, it works best with restraint — a few stems with monstera or palm rather than mixed into a rounded bouquet.

It is exceptionally long-lasting, commonly two to three weeks, and the thick stem and waxy bract survive transport and heat far better than soft-petalled flowers.
